Canteen, Zalau, Rumania 2013

If you roam around in the rumanian countryside you will see a lot of wooden ancient farms still built following the constructive patterns the Romans imported in these border provinces of the empire for military purposes. When we were committed for the project of a new cafeteria in a steel plant in Zalau we thought it would have been interesting to re-visit, for the eating room, the pattern of a large wooden-tiles roofed farm, matching it with a full glass perimeter.
